I cannot wait to walk through the doors of the exciting new Emporium Melbourne precinct when they open for the first time in Melbourne’s city centre on April 16. It is set to be a feast for the senses with beautiful, world-class architecture, award winning eateries and of course stunning, luxury boutiques, some of which have never before been opened in Melbourne.
Emporium Melbourne will be the first to welcome Calvin Klein’s platinum label, so no more having to shop online for this luxury brand if you would like to receive the complete shopping experience. A standout eatery that I’m super keen to try, also being a first timer to Melbourne, is Pho Nom, which serves real Vietnamese street food brought to you by Vietnamese Chef and Michelin Star holder, Jerry Mai.
The darlings of Australian Design houses will be opening their doors in the new Emporium Melbourne, including a few of my favourites… Scanlan Theodore, Willow, Sass & Bide, Manning Cartell, White Suede, Zimmerman, and Shakuhachi.
Scanlan Theodore’s W14 Collection is looking absolutely divine. I am literally dying over every single piece. They’ve included perforation, geometric pattern, sports-inspired fabrications like scuba and mesh, modern silhouettes and fur detailing, all within a gorgeous palette of winter white, shades of grey, black, navy, deep midnight blue, red, and deep burgundy. Scanlan Theodore constantly create collections that are innovative, imaginative, directional and yet still feminine for the modern day woman.
Another huge favourite of mine, to open its doors in the Emporium, is Manning Cartell. I am absolutely in love with their original monochrome fox print. The way they’ve styled their small geo print and large check prints together with the fox print is genius. I have recently spoken about winter pastels being huge this season and Manning Cartell really illustrates this beautifully. Their palette consists of black, winter white, shades of grey, khaki, powder pink, fuchsia, red-orange, pale melon and navy. This is exactly how to incorporate winter pastels into your wardrobe this season.
And when you need a break from shopping up a storm, get excited! I Love Pho, Chinta Ria Soul and The Tea Salon are all amongst the cool kids at Emporium Melbourne.
FUN FACT: The Myer Emporium was established on the same spot by Sidney Myer and grew to become Melbourne’s premier shopping precinct in the 1940’s. Now 75 years later, Emporium Melbourne is set to once again take this title by offering the foremost experience in food, culture, fashion and art.
Hold onto your panties lovers… not long now to see this tantalising precinct come to life!
