Well Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2014 has officially begun! The opening night was last Friday night and the city was brimming with events and festivities. I attended a stunning street fashion parade on Little Bourke Street which showcased an array of divine Spring outfits. I then visited the gorgeous QV Hideaway where they were giving away complimentary cocktails and indulgent treats.
The cocktail creators from Barmazter, were flair tending, shaking and stirring the night away. It really was fun to watch. If you were keen on learning how to re-create their delicious cocktails, Barmazter will actually be holding cocktail masterclasses on Friday 12th & 19th September at 6.30pm. Be sure to book yourself in for these classes to reserve a spot!
There are other fun masterclasses and complimentary services you can take advantage of in the QV Hideaway too. They include free hair styling, eye-brow shaping and mini-makeovers by Shiseido. There is also a fun workshop on how to create your own hanging string garden. When midday strikes and you are in need of a coffee fix and some scrumptious treats, then the Hideaway Cafe is the place for you. It’s open from 12-5pm every day.
Oh and if you love watching fashion shows as much as I do, then you might want to check out the MSFW Curated Event on Friday 5th September, which I will most definitely be attending. This event will be a gorgeous fashion show as part of MSFW, featuring all of QV’s premium brands. There will be some other exciting and delicious treats in store for us at this event too, so I can’t wait!
