Last Friday night I was invited to the gorgeous curated event at the QV Hideaway, as part of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week’s official program. QV Square’s transformation into a vivid nature escape, was complete with tree house and magical wishing tree, creating a picturesque backdrop for a Spring runway show. The tables were covered in mouth watering treats by The Cupcake Family and Sisko Chocolate, a few of which managed to reach my mouth… The stunning flower arrangements were by Flower Temple and the Barmazter boys were at it again, creating their magic cocktails. One of the bar tenders, Clinton Weir, is the current Australian National Flair Bar Tending Champion and we were lucky enough to be entertained with his flaming bottle act. It was absolutely incredible.
The QV runway show and dancers were the main event of the night. Showcased on the runway were Spring looks from a selection of QV stores, including Incu, General Pants, Vanishing Elephant and MNG. The runway music was mixed by local Melbourne DJ, Lauren Mac, who created a cool vibe in the Hideaway from beginning to end.
Street Smith could be seen snapping some street style in the Hideaway and I met a few fellow bloggers, including Thom Whilton from Couturing and Alice from The Influencer. Oh and who doesn’t love a complimentary goodie bag? There were QV goodie bags all round for us to take home and enjoy. All in all, a fun and unique way to spend a Friday night!
