Do you dread the stress of Christmas every year? The stress of how much it costs to buy presents for loved ones; to pay for all the food, drinks and social events that go with this festive time of year. It can be a huge burden for some. It can also take away from what the actual holiday is about. Whether you are religious or not, Christmas is a time for everyone to spend with friends and family. A time to escape the day to day work pressures and literally eat, drink and be merry!
My family actually does Kriss Kringle every year. We have a set budget of $100. We then submit our wish list of $100 items to Mum Bear who draws them out of a hat. This way we only buy one present up to $100 each and we also only get one amazing gift each. No obsolete gifts that are headed straight for the bin. We get given one wish list item that we really want. Also, we still have an element of surprise, as there’s always a few options on the list, so we never know which option we will get. I love Kriss Kringle as it completely takes the stress out of Christmas. The stress of trying to think what to get everyone; trying to find great gifts that aren’t too expensive; worrying about how you will afford everything on top of all the social commitments you have… So, with all of these stresses out of the way, Kriss Kringle lets us focus on the important things, like putting on an amazing spread for Christmas lunch/dinner and having a really fun time with all our family and friends.
This year on STYLEBK. we decided to put together a Christmas gift guide for items that we love under $150. We wanted to help take away the stress that comes with Christmas shopping and provide a little bit of inspiration for some affordable gift ideas. Here’s a few to get you started…
